Fashion: Denim

Cupcake in a Cup.

We all watch the movies where the characters are in college or go to a college party and drink beer from a red cup right?. Well I promised myself I would 1. Go to a fart party and 2. Drink from a red cup. It didn't happen as planned because this was Nicole and I at the beach drinking wine. To our defense mine more than her's making American college friends is slightly difficult in Pacifica why you ask? well the simply aren't enough or any college students here. NO fear i will eventually make this happen for now though this white wine would have to do. Cupcake.... Strawberries and Surfers we had a good day #NailedIt

Ocean Beach..... San Francisco

This was such a cold day and the water was freezing, I don't know how people manage to spend hours in the ocean surfing on the coldest days. I come from a place where its almost always minimum 23 degrees Celsius on a summer day. Learning how to adjust to be okay with a mildly sunny day which will last till 4pm is for lack of a better word crazy. I have been able to make it work so far, just so you know i got sick the following Monday after out mini beach trip. It was fun though besides missing work it was all worth it. #ColdSpring

The Eye of the Tiger!

Grizzly Bear Footprint

San Francisco Zoo

I loved this day for some reason I am one of those people that finds great pleasure in going to the zoo. This maybe be taking it too far but if you took me to the zoo as a date I would love it (hint to my future partner in crime). Okay less about that and more on how awesome that footprint is right? I stood there waiting for him to get back into the water but he liked the sun more. So I settled for his footprint instead a total win if you ask me #NailedIt.

Airport good-byes

The isn't much to say but that i love each and everyone of these people with every bit of my heart that isn't already Gods. They have carried me through alot and not to mention taught me a great deal, my sister who will be my best friend till i am no more :). The reason why the first picture is of my dad and I is because I am  Daddys girl :-p. I didn't take a picture with my mom here she was going to make me cry lol but she is the woman on the far left in the second last picture. She is elegance defined with a hint of crazy like everyone in the family :).

Friendship!!!! The Homies!!!!

I have always thought of myself as shy and not the most social being out there. It took me moving to another country to realized or rather actually believe what others were telling me about myself back home. I may not be a social butterfly but making friends is easy for me, picking which one's are actually genuine is not so easy. Thankfully I found a genuine group of people who I now call my friends. I will mention I am the oldest of all yet each of them are so mature (hence why we are friends). Nothing we do is ever ordinary or should i say boring as you can see from the pictures. Even the random visit to the store is made fun (Mike!!!!)

Rockaway Beach Sunset

Let me start by saying I LOVE this camera and with that being said this is was my first sunset in Pacifica and this was the moment i fell inlove with this place. Have you had a moment where your asking yourself "am i really here?" this was one of those moments for me. We have amazing scenery in South Africa so I didn't think I would ever fall inlove with a place because of the scenery.  This was the first of many times I would learn that I could fall inlove with something unexpectedly. Those are the most beautiful experiences i am now unafraid of the unknown and unexpected.

Pacifica, California, United States

Pacifica, California a 15 minute drive to San Francisco will be my home for the next two years. I wake up some days walk to the beach and it hits me like the first time. The breathtaking sunsets don't get old, well at least for me they haven't yet. I have been here 3 months now and my first few weeks were the hardest, everyone who knows me knows how close I am to my family. Having to be this far away from them took some getting used to.

Everyone ask's me this question frequently "what are you doing there?".......

I am auparing taking care of twin girls named Maggie and Elsie (cutest twins i know excluding my nieces).

Elsie

                                                                         Maggie

They are identical twins and I have been their aupair since they were born on Valentines Day, easy birthday to remember right?, I adore them to me they are my family. They have a big sister her name is Sadie and her energy is best seen when she's told "Bedtime Sadie" lol. I think her favourtite room in the house has to be my room, its probably because of the big mirror behind my door OR she just loves me like i love her (I chose to think its the latter :-p).

Not the best picture BUT thats Sadie and I in our "matching" Bennies in MY room ;-)

I wish i had a picture of Megan and Chris but unfortunately i don't, they are these lovely babies parents. They are such unique dynamics with the cooking lol Megan doesn't cook well she does just not too well (sorry Megan :)). Although they don't know I am learning from both of them, knowledge is not only acquired in books friends. I never understood why my Mom would always say she's adopted families but now i understand because I have my own family i feel i have been adopted into.
